I am a third – Generation Realtor and licensed real estate broker in the State of Arizona. Over 40 years ago I started buying real estate, fixing up and improving the property, then selling it to move up the ladder. Somewhere in there my Realtor (Mom) decided to retire from real estate after 23 years in the business, so I figured I’d better get my real estate license. I had the great privilege to work with her for almost 5 years before she passed away from Parkinson’s. During that period I received a crash course in Tucson real estate, specifically in the foothills and central Tucson Luxury markets. I also learned the value of patience. Many times I remember going to meet a family who had lost a parent, or someone who had lost their spouse, often times because Mom had sold them the house, or been referred to them by someone she had helped in the past. Those of us that have assisted people through the loss of someone understand and appreciate the need to listen and ask the right questions. Thanks Mom!

I previously worked for 14 years with now retired, estate planning attorney, Daniel H. O’Connell. One of the many things I did was to assist clients with transferring their assets (real estate, etc.) to help avoid probate. Unfortunately, even though we assisted in establishing an estate plan, assets would be acquired incorrectly, and at their passing, we would have to open a probate.
